There is something so special about making mini sessions part of your family’s yearly tradition.
Life moves fast. One year your little one is taking their first steps, and the next they’re running across the grass with the biggest smile on their face. It’s easy to think you’ll remember every stage, but the truth is that these seasons pass by quicker than we expect.
That’s why I believe annual family photos are so much more than pictures. They’re little anchor points in your family’s story.
One of my favorite things about photographing families each year is getting to watch them grow.
New babies arrive. Toddlers become big siblings. Tiny personalities grow bigger every year. Parents change, too. You can actually see the confidence, joy, and love deepen over time.
When you look back through your family albums years from now, you won’t just see beautiful photos. You’ll remember exactly what life felt like in that season.

I know life is busy. Between school schedules, sports, work, and everything else on your calendar, it can feel impossible to plan family photos.
That’s why I love offering mini sessions every year.
They’re designed to be simple, stress-free, and accessible for busy families.
You don’t have to wait for a huge milestone to update your family photos. Sometimes the ordinary seasons become the ones you treasure the most.

One of my favorite things about this session was watching these sweet siblings interact. Big hugs, silly giggles, running through the yard, and those quiet little moments in between. They’re the kinds of memories that deserve to be preserved just as much as birthdays or graduations.
The truth is, none of us knows what life will look like a year from now. That’s exactly why documenting today matters.
When you make yearly photos a priority, you’re creating a visual chapter book of your family’s life. Every session tells part of the story, and together they become something truly priceless.
If you’d like to see one of my favorite past setups, you can check out my post about why holiday sessions are so meaningful.
I can’t wait to photograph another year of your family’s story with this season’s mini sessions.
