When this sweet couple reached out, I was immediately struck by how kind and loving they were. As we talked about their growing family, I learned they were preparing to welcome twins. Talk about super mom!! I knew before we even started that they were going to be amazing parents.

From the beginning, we wanted this studio maternity session to feel elevated and editorial while still feeling warm and authentic.

We picked a studio that would give us that perfect environment, and then styled the couple to match. 

We kept everything simple with neutral clothing, flowing fabric, and soft textures around them. That allowed the focus to stay exactly where it belonged: on this growing family. Gold accents, including the ornate vintage mirror, added that “umph” of elegance while the dreamy draped backdrop created a romantic feel throughout the entire session.

The result?? A gallery full of images that were equal parts classic and full of emotion. As a Southern California photographer, I was so proud of what we created together.

One of my favorite parts of photographing expecting moms is helping them see themselves the way everyone else already does.

Pregnancy can be beautiful and uncomfortable all at the same time. It’s easy to only focus on everything that’s changing, and we lose sight of the freakin’ incredible thing (!!) your body is doing. 

But you are literally creating life.

I’m in awe of pregnant women, you’re incredible.

You deserve photographs that remind you just how strong, beautiful, and powerful you are. I love creating a space where moms can slow down, feel confident, and simply exist in this once-in-a-lifetime season. Honestly, you’re a god damn goddess, and I love capturing you that way.

This entire session felt so dreamy from beginning to end. Between the soft light, the romantic styling, and the excitement of welcoming two little babies, it was impossible not to smile behind the camera.
